Via Verde

Designed by Jean-Michel Wilmotte for BNP Paribas Real Estate, the building is located on the edge of the large public space on Place Nelson Mandela. This 15,000 sq.m. program over 7 floors is HQE certified (passport level Excellent).

The complex geometry of the land and the difference in elevations led to the design of a compact building, making maximum use of the land's capacity and respecting neighbouring projects.
The volume of the building is in the form of a metal monolith separated from its base by a transparent strip running over the entire surface of the ground floor. The façades play a key role in the environmental management of the project. A surface treatment of the glass ensures a solar filter effect. The architect has sculpted the building in relation to the volume on the ground in order to allow this light to pass through. Another distinctive feature is the creation of a "green cascade" on the roof of the building on the north façade.

A monumental promenade, financed by Paris La Défense, was created at the foot of the building: it allows everyone, including people with reduced mobility, to access the French Provinces district.

Delivered in April 2012, the building was awarded by the Federation of Real Estate Developers in 2012: Best Office Program in Ile-de-France, Pyramide de Vermeil and Pyramide d'argent in the "Commercial Real Estate Award" category.

A word about the architect

Jean-Michel Wilmotte created his architectural firm in Paris in 1975. He specialized in five fields: architecture, interior architecture, museography, urban planning and design. Over the years, and in response to the development of the agency's activity, Jean-Michel Wilmotte has developed two companies, the architecture agency Wilmotte & Associés and the design studio Wilmotte & Industries SAS. The agency works on a large number of projects each year, from housing construction to office buildings, restaurants, museums and hotels.
